Realtors Guide to Starting on Social Media

Updated: Dec 4, 2022

If you didn't already know, social media is king when it comes to almost anything that requires human interaction.

Since the explosion of Facebook, some may argue Myspace, people have turned to online social credibility as a qualifier for genuine human interaction, especially in business.

Real Estate is a unique beast in that it's one of the few professions that specialize in one of the three top life decisions most people make; purchasing a home. It's also unique in the way that process happens. Real Estate is a transaction that starts with trust. People choose a Realtor they trust. A unique trust that often extends well beyond the sale.

So, how do we, as realtors, broker trust? Well... to start, it means tapping into the tools that are helping shape how we interact with each other, how we communicate, and how we highlight the parts of ourselves that we find most charming. Social Media.

In this short blog series we have three goals that we hope you can walk away with:

  1. An understanding of why it's important to invest in your online presence

  2. An understanding of the types of tools you have at your disposal to start building an online presence

  3. An understanding of the exciting and unique approach Realtors should take with social media

We hope you will find this series as a solid starting point to using Social media to build your brand, capture leads, and highlight the amazing entrepreneur that you are. Or, at the very least, give you a new perspective (maybe even love) for the bounties that consistent social media can bring.
